Goals : 
Be it today, tomorrow, or a decade, I will tell the histories of those forgotten. In the meantime, however, I will seek the equally noble pursuits found in the tales of elves, orcs, and dragons. I want to cultivate my creativity through the completion of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign and several short stories. To break through my zone of non-fictional writing will prove a worthwhile experience, both academically and personally, as I gain greater confidence in my words. As my college years progress, I will continue to present research at conferences and publish in an undergraduate journal. What I will learn throughout my studies will not be hoarded. I want to share my knowledge to light the fire of curiosity. 

Statue of Gudea:
On the right is one of the twenty-seven statues of Gudea, a ruler of the ancient mesopotemia city-state of Lagash. This paritcular piece dates back to around 2090 B.C., and represents the cultural and religious dynamics of this Neo-Sumerian society. On Gudea's robe is Sumerian inscription chronicling a tale of Mesopotamian mythology. To learn more, check out its feature on the Met's website.
